Sites que já foram proibidos ou que atentem contra a propriedades autorais também serão incluídos na lei.
Foi divulgado esta quarta-feira pela agência de notícias WAM, a pena mínima prevista será de 3 anos de prisão. A lei que visa a segurança nacional foi promulgada após diversos casos de denuncia. O país, considerado uma das nações das mais moderadas no Oriente Médio foi vítima de diversos ataques, prenderam 66 islamitas e um grupo acusado de conspirar contra a segurança nacional. O presidente perdoou 5 ativistas pró-democracia presos em 2011 por atividades ilícitas na Internet, conforme informou a CNET.
Um ativista, Ahmed Abdul Khaliq, em julho, teve de escolher o exílio na Tailândia a prisão perpétua em seu país natal.
